Job Description



Primary Responsibilities:

The Automobile Salesperson is expected to:


* Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the Larry H. Miller Companies dealerships;
* Manage and maintain used automotive inventory through acquisition and proper wholesale disbursement standards which produce an appropriate mix of inventory for the dealership while meeting group standards;
* Maximize wholesale profits while minimizing loss;
* Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful.
* Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.

1. Maximum productivity, customer service and profitability.


* Effectively manage used vehicle inventory through retail, automobile auctions and wholesale outlets to maintain dealership supply and demand while adhering to group day supply standards.
* Maintain optimal used vehicle display to attract consistent customer traffic.
* Effectively appraise used vehicles to determine the retail or wholesale value.
* Assist in advertising and promotional campaign efforts to achieve maximum dealership profitability.
* Accurately communicate to sales team the available units, inventory status, and special price offers.
* Perform all other job duties as requested by management.

3. Operate with integrity:


* Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others.
* Set an example of positive attitude and professionalism, including a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
* Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Job Qualifications:


* High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
* 2 + years of Automotive Sales experience
* Proficient knowledge of Larry H. Miller Group's current company management systems
* Maintain valid driver's license and MVR within company policy requirements
* Good organization skills
* Professional communication skills
* Customer Service


* Be service oriented and actively looking for ways to help
* Represent the company to all employees and customers in all communications
* Detail oriented
* Previous management experience preferred


* Ability to lead, take charge, and offer direction
* Critical thinking- using logic to weigh various approaches to resolve problems
* Negotiation- bringing employees or customers together to reconcile differences
* Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships to have constructive and cooperative working relationships
* Coordinate the work activities of employees
* Initiative- willing to take on new responsibilities and challenges.

Physical Requirements:
* Work performed in an office and dealership settings due to the necessity to work with customers in person as well as coach and mentor employees in person.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions precedent at that time.
* Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, use hands and fingers and move about facilities.
* Required vision include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
* Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
* Some travel required.
