Job Description

Job Summary:

The Carpet Cleaning Specialist will maintain the facility to the level established by the management team. The Specialist will relentlessly pursue the cleaning goals of the entire organization. He/she will follow all regulations set forth by the company in the employee handbook. The Carpet Cleaning Specialist champions the company's Missionand Vision, and models the company Values.

Specific Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

* Move all moveable furniture
* Vacuum floor removing all dust and debris
* Operate carpet-extracting machine on carpeted floor surfaces.
* Clean all baseboards and edge of walls
* Clean all carpeted areas as assigned, and soiled areas as seen removing all spots
* Clean carpeted stairs
* Clean all upholstered furniture
* Protect the legal and financial assets at the LHM Group of Companies
* Continually teach associates new and better ways of doing business with an emphasis on STEWARDSHIP, ACCOUNTABILITY, LEADERSHIP and GUEST SERVICE
* All other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

* Proficiency in the use of cleaning chemicals preferred
* Experience cleaning carpets and/or upholstery preferred
* Knowledge of pH scale required
* Must be a team player

Supervision Received and Exercised

* Receive assignments from Crew Leaders, Assistant Managers, and occasionally, Management team members
* Perform work assignments in a timely and detailed manner
* Reports to Custodial Manager

* Custodial Manager: receives work assignments and reports to
* Custodial Manager: receives work schedules from

Judgment and Mental Requirements

* Must remain positive while working in a challenging environment
* Must be able to work while being interrupted

Physical Demands

* Must be able to lift 50 pounds
* Exposed to continuous standing, bending, pushing and pulling
* Exposed to intermittent walking, twisting and squatting

Language Skills

* Must be able to communicate in English
