Job Description


The primary responsibility of the Sr. Account Manager is to develop strong brand and marketing strategies for their clients, as well as manage the consistent execution of these strategies throughout their clients' programs and initiatives. Responsible for managing their clients' campaign strategy and profitability, the Sr. AM works closely with all departments to ensure that campaigns are executed on-time, on-budget and on-quality.

The Sr. AM communicates regularly with their clients about high-level topics, including negotiations and budget conversations (e.g. change orders or out of scope requests). This role maintains a specific understanding of their clients' brand and consumer profiles, enabling them to create effective client presentations and pitch materials. The Sr. AM can clearly articulate their own agency's service offerings and capabilities, allowing them to support the AD in consistent up-selling and cross-selling in their accounts.

* Maintains deep understanding of how internal estimates map back to proposals/contracts
* Demonstrates thorough knowledge of program/campaign architecture and estimate structures
* Demonstrates thorough knowledge of project architecture and estimate structures
* Maintains working knowledge of their clients' industry/segment
* Maintains specific knowledge of clients and their consumer profiles
* Maintains specific knowledge of clients' competitors
* Maintains awareness of scope creep and notifies AD and Sr. Leadership
* Manages out of scope requests
* Manages program/campaign/project budgets
* Facilitates weekly client-facing status meeting (strategy)
* Ensures channel alignment with planning strategy
* Serves as primary business owner for both client and internal account teams for all elements relative to their programs/campaigns
* Cultivates relationships with clients at mid-level management (e.g. Product/Marketing Manager/SVP Ops)
* Develops ongoing strategic recommendations that solve business objectives for clients, above and beyond contracted programs/campaigns
* Ensures successful execution of their clients' programs/campaigns
* Owns client communication (money or program/campaign related)
* Effectively presents, sells and defends integrated agency campaign work to clients
* Manages program/campaign profitability
* Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the dynamics and workings of the client's business
* Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the dynamics and workings of the client's competition
* Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
* Protect the legal, moral and financial well-being of the company
* Other duties, as assigned


* 5-7 years of Account Management experience
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
* Marketing agency experience
* Demonstrated working knowledge of core agency capabilities/offerings
* Skilled in developing client project proposals and SOWs
* Skilled in developing program/campaign goals and benchmarking
* Experience in successfully managing clients through programs with multiple complex projects
* Experience in campaign and project financial management and analysis
* Skilled in developing complex programs/campaigns with demonstrable ROI
* Experience in driving integrated strategy throughout programs/campaigns/projects
* Demonstrated ability to provide tactical solutions to client business objectives
* Experience providing strong brand stewardship for clients throughout campaigns/projects
* Skilled in growing client relationships and providing successful conflict resolution
* Experience in identifying opportunities to grow business within respective clients
