Job Description

The Parking Ambassador plays an essential role in the Public Safety Department for the Vivint Smart Home Arena and Smiths Ballpark. Working under direct supervision, and acting with a high level of integrity, the Parking Ambassador enhances the customer experience by providing exceptional customer service. The Parking Ambassador communicates effectively with members of the public and serves as an informational resource to visitors and customers.

Primary Duties:

* Safely and efficiently direct vehicle traffic into parking lots at assigned access points
* Greet customers upon arrival prior to each event and throughout the duration of the event
* Provide instructions regarding parking and other information related to events
* Charge for admission to parking lots and direct parking pass holders
* Processes cash payments and provide correct change to customers
* Provide set up and break down of signage and traffic management equipment around the arena
* Respond to all requests for vehicle assistance and facilitate service with appropriate personnel

* Use reasoning and problem solving skills to determine appropriate actions to be taken
* Continually teach associates new and better ways of doing business
* Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment properly Other duties as assigned

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Must be at least 18 years old
* Basic math skills for counting correct change
* Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the public
* Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
* Knowledge of the Salt Lake City area and geographic layout of the city
* Must be able to work varied days and hours from 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM
* Must be consistently punctual and dependable

* Ability to work well in fast paced, high stress situations
* Position requires the ability to see, reach, talk, hear and feel

* Position requires working near moving vehicles
* Position requires working in outdoor weather conditions
