Job Description



The Guest Services employee guides and greets guests at the Vivint Smart Home Arena and the Smiths Ballpark. The purpose and responsibility of each Guest Services employee is to enrich lives by creating extraordinary memories for our guests. The Guest Services employee will serve and interact with guests whose needs are varied and diverse.


* Be prepared to work in all areas and sections of the arena
* Build relationships and address concerns with the guests sitting in your section
* Monitor crowd behavior and proactively take steps to ensure all guests enjoy the event without disruption by others
* Assist guests with mobile ticketing and e-ticketing to ensure seamless entry to their seat
* Direct guests to correct seats based on ticketed seating information
* Direct guests to services in and around Vivint Smart Home Arena via the Utah Jazz App
* Know the emergency evacuation plan, remain calm, and provide direction in the event of an emergency
* Ensure guests are aware of arena policies as they pertain to safety and the overall guest experience
* Keep aisles and walkways clear of guests
* Conduct aisle walks throughout the event to monitor crowd behavior and be aware of any problems in assigned areas
* Abide by and increase awareness of the Fan Code of Conduct to ensure a positive experience for all guests
* Be aware of special activities, functions or promotions for that particular event
* Maintain a strong understanding of all areas and locations in the arena
* Other duties as assigned

* Demonstrate world-class customer service and if you don't directly interact with the customer, support those that do

* Must be able to work in all areas and sections of the arena and to rotate through assignments, areas, and sections, as needed
* Must be able to understand and communicate in English and follow verbal and written direction
* Able to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends and holidays)
* Possess reliable transportation and observe a 5:00 pm call time for most events
* Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees
* Maintain a professional appearance as set by Vivint Smart Home Arena management
* Must have access to a computer with internet access and remain proficient in its use

Physical Requirements:


* Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and climb stairs frequently throughout the shift (55% Standing/Walking, 45% Stair Climbing)
* Ability to move barriers and boxes of handout materials up to 25 pounds
* Majority of duties are performed in-house under controlled temperatures, some positions are located in inclement areas or outside on the property
* This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
* This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess
* The person must be able to sit for long periods of time
* This person must be able to lift 25 lbs.
