Job Description

The Game Operations and Marketing Intern is a critical role in the implementation of the Salt Lake Bees Marketing and Game Operations plan. This position plays an integral part in creating a major league experience at Smith's Ballpark through detailed planning, coordination, and execution of assigned tasks. This position reports to the Game Operations & Marketing Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Bees Promotional Team

* Assume direct supervision of the Bees Promotional Team
* Plan the Promotional Team schedules for up to 70 Salt Lake Bees home games
* Assign and direct Promotional Team responsibilities for on-field promotions, pre-game and post-game duties, and off-site appearances

Game Operations and Marketing

* Assist in planning, coordination and execution of all 70 Salt Lake Bees home games, including theme nights and special events
* Participate in Game Operations Production Meetings prior to each home game
* Assist in the creation and maintenance of game logs, sponsor fulfillment, and PA Book for all 70 home games
* Manage expenses for areas of responsibility
* Coordinate all game day presentation elements with the promotion team, on-field host, PA announcer, mascot, audio-video control and graphics team
* Coordinate National Anthem Auditions, booking and sound check of performers
* Help in the coordination of the team mascot "Bumble" including scheduling and coordination of events
* Assist in the creation of new content including theme nights, on-field promotions and overall game presentation.
* Assist in the execution of the Salt Lake Bees Marketing Plan
* Assist and occasionally lead in the creation of content for official social media channels

Event Prep

* Coordinate the physical setup at the ballpark including:
* Concourse prep including tables and chairs for vendors/sponsors
* Assist LHM Corporate Partnership Team to ensure all sponsor/corporate partner needs are met
* Act as ballpark point of contact with corporate partners
* Break down and store all tables and chairs on the concourse

Fun Zone (ballpark playground)

* Assist in recruitment and hiring of Fun Zone staff
* Oversee the open and close of the Fun Zone and the ballpark train
* Assign positions to Fun Zone and train employees
* Oversee the occupancy and operations of the Fun Zone and train
* Assist employees with check in and check out

* Positive attitude and willingness to help with additional demands as needed
* Must be willing to work up to 70 home games plus other events including weekends and holidays
* Ability to communicate with a large team both collectively and individually is essential

* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands

* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

* Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
