Job Summary:

The Creative Director's responsibility is to manage and direct the activities of creative individuals to meet or exceed Saxton Horne's standards of creative excellence, timeliness, and profitability. He/She is expected to be an example of the highest levels of commitment, collaboration, creativity, accountability, courage, and humor.

Primary Duties:


* Protect the Legal, Financial, and Moral well-being of the Larry H. Miller Companies
* Ensure team meets deadlines and stays within budget
* Approve or reject advertising campaign ideas; articulate and justify conceptual and directional choices
* Resolve functional conflicts through consultation with department heads
* Mentor and support the efforts of other employees to be successful; develop future leaders
* Operate with integrity; demand the highest ethical standards from self and others
* Set an example of outstanding attendance, positive attitude, professionalism, including orderly and safe work environment
* Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the Larry H. Miller Companies
* Develop new, unique concepts and bravely champion them forward
* Conceive, develop and produce effective advertising campaigns
* Write clear and persuasive copy for websites, brochures, ads, online, TV, radio, and other advertising channels
* Work harmoniously with account executives to meet client needs and budgets
* Revise, edit, and proofread content as needed or directed by client
* Participate in new business efforts as directed.
* Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful.
* Operate with integrity. Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others.
* Set an example of outstanding attendance, positive attitude, professionalism, including orderly and safe work environment.

Job Qualifications:


* Minimum 5+ years' experience in the creative industry
* Outstanding portfolio of advertising and creative work
* Possess a strong aesthetic sense and be driven to produce ever-better creative work
* Have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills
* Analytical thinking and planning
* Solution driven with ability to problem solve
* Possess excellent presentation skills
* Strategic thinking and planning
* Attention to quality and fluctuating workload
* Adaptable and flexible, with strong multitasking skills for a fast-paced environment
* Committed and dependable
* Team leadership skills and ability to work cross-functional teams
* In-depth understanding of all creative elements, including conceptual and executional (copywriting, art direction, user experience, video productions, motion graphics, etc. )
* Strong team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, which may include extended hours when necessary to meet deadlines.

Education/Technical Skills:
* BS Degree in Marketing and Communications or equivalent
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
* Proficiency in Apple products
* Proficiency in Adobe products also helpful

Physical Requirements:
* Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
