Job Description





We are currently seeking an experienced Community and Events Coordinator to manage small and large events for our company, handle social media regarding those events and our other projects, manage Eventbrite and CRM communication regarding our event, and work with our partner organizations as needed on their events. Our events occur both on- and off-site, the Event Coordinator oversees all aspects of event planning, management, and execution.

A successful candidate will be extremely organized and be able to manage the logistics of multiple events and various other tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities include scouting and booking venues, catering, arranging entertainment, sending and tracking invitations, setup, and cleanup. The Community and Events Coordinator will also create event proposals, marketing materials, and social media posts and videos as well as be the point of contact for all School for Good Living coaches.

If this sounds like you, and if you've run diverse and high-quality events in the past, then you have no trouble envisioning that this role requires you to be nimble and smart about the way you plan and execute events and program communications. Some of the most important functions in this role are maintaining clear and constant communication with event stakeholders, vendors, and attendees and leveraging successful events and programs to promote the company on social media as well as with our coaches and clients.

While executing these functions, you will be required to:


* Maintain a working relationship with venues.
* Understand the complex needs of different events, and diverse clients.
* Plan event aspects, such as venue, seating, dining, and guest list.
* Present event ideas and plans to your supervisor and team.
* Delegate event planning tasks to other staff members where necessary.
* Coordinate event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers.
* Stay under budget while planning event specifications with demanding stakeholders.
* Manage the company CRM (HubSpot), including maintaining segmented lists.
* Emcee or otherwise publicly address or lead large groups.
* Manage and oversee events, including ad hoc problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event setup, communicating with staff, and managing takedown.
* Create effective advertisements for each event and send invitations.
* Manage complex calendars, including promotion schedules for multiple events.
* Anticipate and plan for different scenarios outside of normal control.
* Create posts and post on social media platforms for events and company products.
* Manage marketing for podcast episode releases, post and email about a release, share marketing materials with the podcast guest, and maintain timetable for episode releases.
* Maintain a strong relationship with all School for Good Living coaches and frequently check in with them.

* Perfect accuracy in written marketing communications such as event promotion, company announcements, and social media posts.
* Dependability, consistent on-time work performance, and ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
* Bachelor's degree in event planning or marketing preferred.

Wage: $36,000 - $45,000 per year D.O.E.

Routine office hours are 8:00AM to 5:30PM Monday through Friday in the newly renovated Miller Family Office at Jordan Commons in Sandy, Utah. You may also need to work nights and weekends as needed for special events. This role often requires remote availability to provide assistance and take calls outside of office hours. A personal vehicle, continuously valid state-issued driver's license, and cell phone are required for this job (mileage and cell phone charges are not typically reimbursed).
