Job Description

The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the administration of employee benefits, providing special guidance and assistance on various employee benefit plans. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD and LTD, life insurance, health & wellness, employee discounts/programs are properly facilitated and supported.

Primary Duties:

* Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical and dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; temporary disability programs; wellness program; service award recognition program.
* Handle benefits inquiries and concerns to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
* Supply employees with documents related to enrolling, maintaining and understanding their benefits coverage.
* Manage the organization's benefit election processes for new hires and annual open enrollment sessions.
* Supervise maintenance of enrollment and claims records for all benefits plans.
* Update company records and employee files with information relevant to each employee's enrollment.
* Oversee and administer the employee wellness plan, along with employee recognition programs.
* Maintain current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, including ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
* Develop & deliver employee benefits and health and wellness "brown bag" style information sessions for employees.
* Manage the organization's FMLA program & processes.
* Report to management all data on disbursement and enrollment in programs.

* Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited College or University preferred.
* A minimum of 3 - 5 years medical/dental/vision employee benefits administration.
* Comprehensive knowledge of benefits programs (health, 401K, etc.) and experience working with external vendors.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; conflict resolution skills.

Physical Requirements:

* This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
* This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess
* The person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
* This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
