Job Description



This position is responsible to assist the players and coaches. Will be involved in setting up the dugout and ensuring umpires have all that they need during the game. Will have direct contact with players, coaches and others that work with the team. Champion the company's Mission and Vision, and model the company Values.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:


* Protect the moral, legal and financial assets at the Larry H Miller Group of Companies.
* Continually teach associates new and better ways of doing business with an emphasis on STEWARDSHIP, ACCOUNTABILITY, LEADERSHIP and GUEST SERVICE.
* Fill all water coolers for dugouts and bullpens before game.
* Stock cups in dugout and bullpen.
* Carry equipment such as bats, balls, helmets and any other gear necessary, to and from dugout when asked or needed.
* Any other duties asked by the Clubhouse Manager, Trainer, or Manager.
* Retrieve foul balls that remain on the field during the game and bring balls to umpires.
* Being aware of the game and paying close attention to umpire needs during the games
* All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills


* At least 16 years old with reliable transportation to and from Smith's BallPark.
* Ability to work well with others and as a team.
* Takes initiative and has a hardworking, positive attitude.
* Ability to work odd hours throughout the summer months.
* Some knowledge of the game of baseball.
* Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands


* Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
* Exposed to continuous walking, standing, twisting.
* Exposed to intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing stairs.
* Must be able to work in outside conditions, including snow, rain, wind and heat.

Language Skills


* Must be able to communicate in English.
