Saxton Horne is looking for a dynamic Account Manager who knows how to diagnose complex problems, develop a comprehensive strategy, drive results, and sell ideas. In this role the individual will be responsible for calling on and expanding an established account base of clients and generating new client relationships.

The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to develop strong brand and marketing strategies for their clients, as well as manage the consistent execution of these strategies throughout their clients' programs and initiatives. Responsible for managing their clients' campaign strategy and profitability, the Account Manager works closely with all departments to ensure that campaigns are executed on-time, on-budget and on-quality.

The Account Manager communicates regularly with their clients about high-level topics, including negotiations and budget conversations (e.g. change orders or out of scope requests). This role maintains a specific understanding of their clients' brand and consumer profiles, enabling them to create effective client presentations and pitch materials. The Account Manager can clearly articulate the agency's service offerings and capabilities, allowing them to support the Director of Account Services in consistent up-selling and cross-selling in their accounts.

* Manages monthly client planning

* Ensures successful execution of their clients' projects
* Owns client advocate communication
* Collaborates with creative team to ensure that creative execution remains on strategy and provides strong brand stewardship
* Manages overall strategic quality + correctness of deliverables
* Effectively presents agency work to clients
* Manages project profitability
* Demonstrates basic understanding of the workings of their client's business
* Demonstrates basic understanding of the workings of their client's competition
* Builds and maintains internal filing for client account assets
* Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values

New Business Development

* Assists with research for new accounts
* Proofreads program/campaign/project proposals
* Proofreads initial RFP proposals
* Participates in acquisition kick-off meeting
* Review acquisition research
* Attends take-over day
* Develops 90-Day Tactical Budget/Calendar

* Attends client kick-off + planning meeting

Non-Acquisition Client Intake

* Participates in internal client onboarding meeting

Non-Auto Discovery/Strategy/Planning

* Performs client/industry research
* Proofreads Marketing Plan

Non-Auto Program Execution

* Assists team with campaign briefs for programs/campaigns
* Participates in program/campaign/project kick-off meetings
* Participates in internal program/campaign/project kick-off meetings
* Quickly and accurately relays changes to internal team
* Stays apprised of progress of client's projects through PM
* Participates in weekly internal status meeting

Auto Execution

* Leads monthly client status meeting
* Reviews monthly campaign performance, analytics + pacing

* Leads internal year-end account review with channels

* Participates in Client Discovery Planning Onsite
* Leads internal Annual Planning kick-off
* Drafts + sends Annual Planning kick-off meeting recap
* Works with Channels to develop Annual Plan
* Presents Annual Plan to client
* Revises Annual Plan + delivers to client

Client Relations

* Schedules pertinent client meetings, develops agendas and debriefs
* Educates and supports client in executing agency requests
* Monitors client satisfaction
* Regularly responds to client calls/e-mail and documents client communication
* Promptly addresses client issues/concerns on assigned work

Program Administration

* Verifies PM's billing worksheet and works with AR/AP to create out the door billing
* Approves out the door billing before client delivery
* Participates in billing/revenue recognition meetings
* Leads program/campaign/project retrospective meetings
* Reviews project financial reporting
* With AD, reviews monthly + quarterly write off reporting for their client
* Assists in client account review

Nurturing/Organic Growth

* Works with AD to provide accurate and thorough ongoing revenue forecast for their clients
* Tracks opportunities and adjusts revenue amounts to final invoiced amounts in CRM
* Keeps agency informed of client happenings; keeps client informed of agency happenings


* Participates in weekly account team meetings
* Completes timesheet daily

Job Qualifications:


* 2-5 years of Account Management experience
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience

* Marketing agency experience
* Demonstrated awareness of core agency capabilities/offerings
* Auto industry experience a plus
* Skilled in developing client project proposals and SOWs
* Skilled in researching requirements for project goals and benchmarking
* Experience in successfully managing clients through programs with multiple complex projects
* Experience in campaign and project financial management and analysis
* Experience developing complex programs/campaigns with demonstrable ROI
* Experience in driving integrated strategy throughout programs/campaigns/projects
* Demonstrated ability to provide tactical solutions to client business objectives
* Experience providing brand stewardship for clients throughout projects
* Experience growing client relationships and providing successful conflict resolution
* Experience in identifying opportunities to grow business within respective clients
