Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

The Collision Center Estimator/Assistant Manager is expected to:

* Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the Larry H. Miller Companies dealerships;
* Accurately, timely and completely assess damage to vehicles to produce and document a cost- effective appraisal resulting in customer satisfaction while achieving an operating profit;
* Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful;
* Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.

Primary Duties: <50% time during a work week spent doing the following: greet customers and obtain information regarding their service or repair concerns; diagnose the mechanical condition of the vehicle; attempt to sell appropriate diagnostic or repair services; provide estimates for services or repairs; write orders for work authorized by the customer.

1. Maximum production, customer service and profitability.

* Achieve or exceed group standards such as service, gross profit and applicable benchmarks which result in profitability and customer service satisfaction.
* Accurately inspect, prepare and document vehicle damage estimates to determine necessary refinishing and costs for restoration, including non-collision maintenance repairs.
* Prepare computer cost analysis by calculating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the repair.
* Effectively communicate with vendors, customers and team members regarding repair requirements, status of repair, and time commitments of repair in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Communicate, obtain and document all necessary approvals for required or suggested repairs, customer pay items, and special instructions.
* Perform audits of insurance estimates for proactive supplements.
* Prepare daily and weekly reports ABSe production for management.
* Achieve customer service satisfaction standards while sustaining business growth and profitability goals.
* Assist Collision Center Manager/Director to develop productive relationships with insurance representatives, fleet, local businesses and general customers to create and sustain volume for production.
* Assist Collision Center Manager/Director to budget, review and approve controllable expense factors.
* Monitor adjustments on body and paint estimates.
* Perform all job duties requested from management.

2. Develop employees.

* Assist to effectively recruit, hire, train and manage qualified team members.
* Maintain accurate job descriptions and communicate expectations with employees.
* Communicate and enforce dealership policies and procedures.
* Be supportive, provide open work atmosphere that promotes teamwork and creativity.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements.

3. Operate with integrity:

* Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others.
* Set an example of positive attitude and professionalism, including a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
* Resolve customer complaints and adjustments.

Job Qualifications:

* 3+ years progressive experience in collision center repair, estimating and insurance.
* 3 years management experience.
* ICAR Certified within one year of employment.
* Proven track record of reducing costs through processes and efficiencies.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
* Hands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes.
* Strong problem solving capabilities.
* Risk assessment capability of product, processes and suppliers.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficient knowledge of Larry H. Miller Group's current company management systems.
* Maintain valid driver's license and MVR within company policy requirements.

Physical Requirements:

* Work performed in an office and shop settings due to location of customer vehicles. li>Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives.
* Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.
* Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions precedent at that time.
* Required vision include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
* Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
